Amman, Jordan – November 2025

The Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development has been awarded second place in the WISE Education Award, which recognizes innovation and excellence in the global education sector, for its project “Iqrali”—a program designed to help parents build a strong Arabic reading habit with their children from the earliest years.

This recognition comes after Iqrali was selected from more than 400 educational initiatives nominated from around the world. Working closely with the WISE team, the Queen Rania Foundation developed a digital learning solution that strengthens children’s connection to reading and places parents at the heart of early learning.

The free Iqrali app offers parents a comprehensive experience that includes age-appropriate digital books for children under six, interactive activities, and guidance grounded in leading educational research. The pilot version of the app also features an AI-powered assistant that answers parents’ questions, recommends learning activities, and creates personalized stories for children—supporting their language and cognitive development in a fun, meaningful way.

Commenting on the award, Bassem Saad, CEO of the Queen Rania Foundation, said:

“ We are proud of this recognition, which honors a vision we work toward every day: ensuring every child receives quality education from their earliest years. Iqrali aims, in the simplest terms, to bring reading back into every Arab home and to support parents in making reading a daily habit for their children from early childhood. This award gives us an opportunity to expand our impact, reach millions of children across the region, and give them the strong start they deserve.”

This achievement builds on the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote Arabic-language reading and to develop innovative educational solutions that empower parents and strengthen their role during the early years, ultimately advancing effective learning in Arabic across the region.
